About Lou

Immersed in the healing arts from early childhood, with an abundance of unconditional love pouring from her heart, Lou has a grand desire to help heal the world by raising awareness and teaching people how to live their life holistically, in a loving and compassionate way.

Lou began her journey with yoga in spring 2008. Being morbidly obese, she hit rock bottom and was desperately looking for change in her life. Within 2 years of daily study of yoga and its philosophy, Lou lost 50 kg. The immediate benefits yoga offered made her more and more intrigued to deepen her knowledge and study further. Given her 16 years in the medical field, Lou integrates Western medicine with the holistic approach to health.

Canadian at heart, currently based in South India, Lou conducts Yoga Teacher Training courses, Yoga Therapy workshops, Thai Massage courses as well as Yoga and Meditation retreats around the world. She is also a qualified Pranic Healer. Her unique expertise comes from her experience as a medical professional, educator, yoga and meditation instructor, healer as well as through her own devotional spiritual practice.

Lou believes that when thoughts, words and actions come from a place of Love, healing naturally occurs. Her teaching methods are characterized by a refreshing sense of humor, her positive energy, knowledge, skills and simple techniques. Lou shares her experiences and struggles, while inspiring her students to make the small changes to achieve more well-being in their lives, leading to a brighter future.

Blessed by Guru Sri Shakti Amma, Lou has delved deeper into this space of peace and contentment. She has been devoting her recent years to humanity; teaching, serving, sharing, providing, praying and loving the world. Lou practices Metta Meditation as a way of Life.
